【Important Notice】 Regarding fraudulent e-mails to customers who have made reservations on Booking.com

We have recently confirmed that some customers who have made reservations at THE STAY OSAKA Shinsaibashi (hereinafter referred to as “the hotel”) via Booking.com (headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands) have received the following e-mail, which was not intended by the hotel.

When accessing the URL in the e-mail, the user is directed to a phishing site*.

Phishing sites are fake websites that look like real websites in order to illegally exploit customers’ personal information, such as account information and credit card numbers.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may have caused to our guests.

We do not send e-mails requesting credit card information or payment to customers who have made reservations. If you receive such an e-mail, please do not click the link in the e-mail, and if you receive an e-mail that you do not recognize, please contact Booking.com or our hotel.

We are currently asking Booking.com to investigate the possibility of unauthorized access or leakage of your personal information. We have not confirmed any unauthorized access to our hotel’s website, but we will continue to investigate.
